Cacao Butter

Our Cacao Butter is a cold-pressed, unrefined oil from cacao beans. It is highly stable and used to make chocolate, as well as other desserts, giving them a melt-in-your mouth, velvety feel. It has a subtle chocolate taste and fragrance. Our Cacao Butter is Fairtrade certified.

Directions

For best culinary results melt the cacao butter in a double boiler and remove from heat promptly. Or, cacao butter is often used to promote healthy skin and will melt at skin temperature.

Vegan cacao butter (one of the most versatile of all chocolate ingredients, giving this vegan dessert its white chocolate notes) and ripe avocado lend an irresistible taste and smooth texture. Chill, top with fruit, nuts or coconut, and savor every spoonful of this masterful plant-based delight. Vegan Matcha Mousse in Glass Jars, Topped with Raspberries and Coconut Flakes

Vegan White Chocolate Matcha Mousse

  • 2 cups coconut whipping cream
  • 2 cups organic cashews (soaked overnight)
  • 20 g organic cacao butter (melted)
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 3 Tbsp. organic maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla bean paste (or pure vanilla extract)
  • 2 tsp. ceremonial-grade matcha powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cardamom powder

Optional toppings

  • 4 Frozen raspberries
  • Mango slices
  • 1 tsp. Fresh or toasted coconut
  • 1 tsp. Chopped pistachios
  • sprinkle Ground Cinnamon
  • sprinkle Ground Cardamom
  • sprinkle Cacao powder
  1. In double boiler, melt cacao butter.
  2. In food processor, combine all ingredients and blend until creamy consistency is reached.
  3. Pour into 4 small glass mason jars with lids, or similar. Refrigerate 1 hour.
  4. Serve as-is or with toppings of choice.
