White Chocolate Matcha Fudge
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Lucky you! This six-ingredient matcha fudge is as festive as it is flavorful. Made with finely ground matcha green tea powder—this treat boasts an earthy, slightly bitter kick that pairs magically with creamy white chocolate, sweetened condensed milk and hints of vanilla and lemon. The result? A perfectly balanced bite of sweetness and umami. Plus, with its bright green hue, this fudge is practically begging to be part of your St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
White Chocolate Matcha Fudge
- 16 oz. white chocolate chips
- 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
- 2 Tbsp. matcha powder (plus more for sifting)
- 2 tsp. lemon zest
- 1 tsp. vanilla bean paste (or scrapings of 1 vanilla bean)
- Pinch fine sea salt
- Line 8 x 8-inch square pan with baking parchment, allowing 1-inch overhang on all sides.
- In large metal bowl, combine white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk. Sit bowl over pan of simmering water. Melt, whisking gently, until completely melted. Remove from heat.
- Sift matcha powder over white chocolate. Whisk briskly to combine.
- Whisk in lemon zest, vanilla bean paste and sea salt.
- Pour into prepared pan. Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
- Slice into squares to serve. Refrigerate in airtight container up to 1 week.
