Frontier Co-op® Dried Maitake Mushroom Slices bring earthy, savory and rich taste with succulent texture and a distinctive look to fortify everything from pasta to tacos.
Briefly rinse dried mushrooms in very cold water. Soak in a volume of warm water that is equal to twice the volume of mushrooms. Soak for 1 hour. Mushrooms should be plump, soft and tender. If dry or tough, continue soaking to desired texture. Drain and press out excess water. Use mushrooms as desired. Remaining water can be used as a base for sauces, soups or stocks.
Suggested Uses: Sautee or roast as a main entrée, add to pasta or use as the main filling for tacos.
