NOW Foods Certified Organic Rolled Oats Description
Rolled Oats are, well, rolled oats! These oat grains have the outer husk removed and then steamed and rolled to form a flat flake. Commonly used as oatmeal or a breakfast cereal, and as the basis for many granola products, Rolled Oats are a tasty and convenient way to quickly improve one's diet.
Soluble fiber from foods such as rolled oats, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease. A serving of NOW Real Food® Organic Rolled Oats supplies 2 grams of soluble fiber.
Directions
To make hot oatmeal, combine ½ cup oats, 1 cup water and a dash of salt. Bring to boil. Simmer over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serves one.

- 1 frozen banana

- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp. almond extract

Passionfruit Cashew Smoothie
- 1 cup frozen passion fruit chunks or pulp (or tropical fruit mix)
- 1/2 cup nut milk
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup raw cashews (soaked 4 hours and drained)

- 1/4 cup rolled oats

- 1 green apple (peeled and cored)

- 1/2 cup cold water or apple juice

- In bowl of hot water, soak dried figs 1 to 2 minutes. Remove and let cool to room temperature.
- In blender, add figs and remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. If consistency is too thick, adjust by adding more milk.
Passionfruit Cashew Smoothie
- In bowl of hot water, soak dried fruit 1 to 2 minutes. Remove and let cool to room temperature.
- In blender, add ingredients and blend until smooth and creamy. If consistency is too thick, adjust by adding more milk.
- Serve with hemp hearts and salted cashews for added texture.
Green Apple and Kiwi Smoothie
- In blender, add green apple, kiwis, frozen banana and avocado, and blend until smooth.
- Add spinach or kale, Greek yogurt, cold water or apple juice and Codeage Liposomal Magnesium Glycinate Powder. Blend until smooth. If consistency is too thick, adjust by adding more water or apple juice.
- Add ice cubes for a chilled smoothie and blend again until smooth.
- Serve immediately.
