NOW Organic Coconut Flour Description
With Now Real Food® Organic Coconut Flour you can say goodbye to overly processed, grain-based flours and replace them with a wholesome, healthy, flavorful flour that's free of gluten and other common allergens. Our Organic Coconut Flour is dried, defatted coconut meat and ground into a fine powder. It's also an excellent source of fiber.
With Organic Coconut Flour you'll use far less than grain-based flours, approximately 1/4 to 1/3 the amount of regular flour called for. You'll also need to increase the amount of liquid used, which can be done by increasing the amount of eggs or egg-substitute. With its unique characteristics we recommend using recipes specifically developed for Coconut Flour, which you can find online.

Dog Friendly Brownies With PB Drizzle
Brownies
- 1/2 cup coconut flour
- 1/2 cup applesauce (unsweetened)
- 2 Tbsp. arrowroot
- 2 Tbsp. flaxseed meal
- 2 Tbsp. peanut butter (natural)
- 2 Tbsp. carob powder
- 3/4 cup water
PB Drizzle
- 2-1/2 Tbsp. water
- 2 Tbsp. peanut butter (natural)
Brownies
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Spray 9”x7” baking pan with non-stick spray.
- In a medium bowl, add dry ingredients and whisk to combine.
- Add wet ingredients to dry and mix thoroughly. Batter will be thick.
- Spoon batter into pan and smooth out evenly.
- Bake 25-30 minutes or until brownies are dry around edges.
- Allow to rest in pan for 5 minutes.
- Gently place on wire rack and cool completely.
PB Drizzle
- In small bowl, whisk together peanut butter and water until smooth.
- After brownies have cooled completely, drizzle peanut butter mixture over each with a spoon, or fill a small sandwich bag to pipe it. Serve and have the camera ready!
