"Peppermint (Mentha piperita) oil is the second most popular essential oil in the United States, following lavender. It is cooling to the skin and gives off a fresh, grassy aroma. Aura Cacia Peppermint Essential Oil comes from the prominent Yakima valley in Washington state.

Peppermint is believed to be native to the Mediterranean region, although the actual origin is uncertain. The crossing of its two, parent species — mentha and peperita — occurred in the wild.

Quick use: Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil to aloe vera gel for a post-sun cooling skin care oil.

Ingredients

1/2 cup Redmond Real Salt
2-1/2 Tbsp. glonaturals Sweet Almond Oil
2-1/2 Tbsp. Organic Gemini TigerNut Oil
2 tsp. Jason Vitamin E Oil
3 drops lavender oil
3 drops peppermint oil
3 drops tea tree oil

Directions

In a bowl, combine all ingredients and mix until well combined. Store in an airtight jar in a cool, dry place.
To use, apply to skin and scrub in a circular motion. Use with a shower sponge, if desired.
