Move over, hot cocoa. This belly-warming winter drink is just as easy to make but brings a touch of exotic flavor to your mug. Simmer together almond milk, a swirl of coconut oil and fragrant spices such as nutmeg, ginger and turmeric for a healthy hot beverage that comforts as it chases away chills.

Warm Spiced Coconut-Almond Milk
Serves 1
Ingredients
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
½ teaspoon tumeric powder
1/2 teaspoon of ginger powder and/or fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon of pure ground vanilla or pure vanilla flavor
Pinch of nutmeg
Pinch of cayenne pepper or chipotle powder
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
Directions
1. Combine all ingredients in small saucepan.
2. Slowly bring to a simmer, stirring often. Serve warm.
