One-Pan Candied Yams

This year, let’s skip sweet potato casserole. Switch up your sides and whip up this candied yams recipe. Sliced yams are soaked and cooked in maple-brown sugar syrup for a dish that tastes like dessert. This one-pan wonder comes together in about 30 minutes, but will leave a lasting impression on you and your dinner guests.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In large sauce pan or cast iron skillet, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, coconut oil, pumpkin spice and salt. Bring to a boil, then decrease heat to medium-low so it continues to bubble.
  2. Add yam slices to skillet and cook for about 20 minutes or until cooked through.
  3. Serve warm.
