Ava, my 3 year old, has an unpleasant new habit that she calls the “Nature Pee.” You might think that Nature Peeing is when you pee in the woods. (Except there are no woods in Scottsdale.) But according to Ava’s definition, “Nature Peeing” is when you pee outside. Anywhere outside. There are no real restrictions. In the last week, Ava has peed in the grass in our backyard, on our patio and on the sidewalk in front of our house. Every time, she has also peed on her skirt and her feet. Why?
The good news is that she’s actually sort of potty training. Until recently, she refused. Now she’s pooping on the potty (which involves reading the same 2 poop-related books for every poop), occasionally peeing on the potty, and, of course, Nature Peeing.
I am sure that this will be funny to me one day.
