Use this culinary spice to color hard-boiled eggs with a pastel yellow hue. DIY Turmeric-Dyed Easter Eggs

Servings 12 eggs

Ingredients

You’ll also need:

  • Small pot
  • Metal tongs
  • Empty egg carton or dish
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Metal whisk

Instructions

  1. In small pot, bring water and turmeric to boil. Stir and reduce to medium-high heat; cook for 1 more minute.
  2. Once turmeric dissolves, stir with whisk and filter liquid through strainer into bowl. Cool in refrigerator for 1 hour (or 2-3 hours at room temperature).
  3. Once cooled, stir in vinegar. Using tongs, dip one egg into mixture and transfer to egg carton. Repeat with remaining eggs. Dry completely for 8-12 hours.
