Many of us grew up snacking happily on cheese-flavored crackers. Since ditching dairy or going gluten-free, we’ve missed those little cheesy squares as an afternoon snack. There hasn’t been a good substitute – until now! This easy 3-ingredient recipe is ready in just 30 minutes and delivers a healthier salty, cheezy, crispy crunch. If you want to further elevate this childhood fave to grown-up status, try stirring in a little dried sage!

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In small pan, melt vegan cheese for about 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Transfer cheese to mixing bowl and add flour and arrowroot starch. With hands, knead flour into melted cheese to create dough. When mixed thoroughly, roll dough into ball shape.
  4. On baking sheet lined with parchment paper, place dough in center; top with another sheet of parchment paper. Use rolling pin to roll to 1/8-inch thickness.
  5. Using knife or pizza cutter, score into squares. Use chop stick or end of spoon to press small indent into middle of each square.
  6. Bake 15 minutes. Flip and bake another 5 minutes until crisp. Let cool before serving.
