Recipe Notes
Feeding Instructions
Depending on your dog’s weight and activity level, give 2-6 treats daily. Give these treats a few times throughout the day because curcumin (in the turmeric) leaves the body quickly. Begin with a smaller serving (cut treat in half, depending on the size you made) to gauge your dog’s sensitivity to the ingredients, then gradually increase to the suggested daily amount if needed.
IMPORTANT: Treats are not meant to take the place of veterinary care. Please see your vet long before your dog’s mobility issues become problematic.
Shelf-life & Storage
Keep stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks. Do not freeze; it breaks down the gelatin.
Note
Black pepper contains piperine which greatly improves the absorption of turmeric in the body. You don’t need much for this recipe.
