Grilled Brussels Sprout Skewers with Maple-Mustard Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat gas grill (or grill pan on stove) to medium-high heat. Soak 8-10 bamboo skewers in water about 15 minutes.
  2. In medium mixing bowl, stir together maple syrup, mustard, olive oil, red pepper flakes and garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  3. Trim stems from Brussels sprouts and remove outer leaves. Cut each sprout in half.
  4. Carefully thread 5-6 halved sprouts onto skewer through stem area.
  5. Brush both sides with maple-mustard sauce. Grill 5-7 minutes on each side or until desired tenderness is reached.
  6. Brush sprouts with remaining sauce before serving.
