Golden Milk “Nice” Cream

We should all be able to scream for ice cream. That’s one reason we love this creamy, better-for-you version. With coconut milk as its base, this treat is free of dairy, gluten, soy and other top allergens – and it’s high in protein and good fats! The second reason we love it is for its grown-up flavors. Golden milk is a delicious, spice-filled tonic made of plant-based milk, turmeric, ginger and cardamom to be sipped slowly. This recipe broadens the beverage’s exotic horizons so it can be enjoyed frozen on a hot summer day. You’ll want to savor it just as languidly with a long silver spoon.

  2. Pour mixture into 7x11 baking pan and freeze for 4-1/2 hours.
  3. Remove and re-blend (this infuses oxygen to make it creamier.) Freeze overnight.
  4. If creamier consistency is desired, re-blend prior to serving

Ice cream maker

  1. The day before, place your ice cream maker’s churning bowl in freezer to chill.
  2. In blender, combine all ingredients and process until smooth.
