Ingredients
- 3 large onions sliced into rings
- 2 cups gluten-free flour
- 2 cups unsweetened coconut milk
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. sea salt or more as needed
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil or more as needed
Instructions

In large bowl, mix coconut milk and lemon juice.

Soak sliced onions in milk mixture for 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.

In medium bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder and sea salt.

Add onions to bowl and coat with flour mixture.

In large skillet, add oil and heat until temperature reaches 375 degrees F.

Add small batches of onions to oil.

Gently stir with tongs and cook until browned for 2-3 minutes.

Remove and drain onions on paper towels to remove excess liquid.
