Besides, words won’t hold much weight once you’ve served them a frosted treat. Spread this nut-speckled topper over pumpkin cake, vanilla cupcakes or even a batch of brownies. With extra sweetness from powdered sugar and maple syrup, your secretly admired will feel sufficiently buttered up after one bite.
Ingredients
12 oz. low-fat cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup chopped pecans
Directions
- In a stand mixer (or bowl using a hand mixer), add cream cheese and butter and mix until well combined.
- Slowly add powdered sugar and syrup and mix to combine.
- Finally, fold in pecans. Now it’s ready for a cake, cupcake or eating straight outta the bowl!
