If you’re craving a frothy coffee drink but want to skip caffeine, try this healthier version of your coffee shop fave. Chicory root coffee looks and tastes like ‘regular’ coffee (and even brews the same!), but you won’t get jittery, and it won’t interfere with sleep. Whip up coconut cream and cashew milk to pamper your pallet without unnecessary (and unwanted) sugars.

Instructions

  1. In coffee maker or French press, brew chicory coffee according to package directions.
  2. In small sauce pan, bring cashew milk and coconut cream or butter to simmer while whisking. Alternately, steam with frothing wand.
  3. In large mug, pour milk/cream mixture into coffee. Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon/nutmeg, if desired.
