Make these coconut oil dog treats with coconut flakes and coconut milk powder to pack in maximum wholesome flavor per treat. Use winter-inspired cookie cutters for extra fun.

Coconut Snowflake Dog Treats

Ingredients

Optional: 1 Tbsp. honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
  2. In medium bowl, whisk together dry ingredients.
  3. Add wet ingredients to dry and combine until dough is smooth.
  4. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and rest 10 minutes.
  5. Roll dough until ¼-inch thick.
  6. Using cookie cutter, cut shapes and place on lined cookie sheet.
  7. Bake 30-35 minutes or until treats look dry and slightly cracking on the bottom. (Note: For softer treats, bake for less time.)
  8. Transfer to wire rack and cool completely.

Recipe Notes

To store crunchy treats, keep stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. These treats will last 2-4 weeks. Refrigerate for longer shelf-life.

To store soft treats, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks. These can also be frozen for up to 6 months. If your pooch doesn’t have teeth issues, there’s no reason you can’t give her a frozen treat.
