You can’t run from your cravings. They’ll pack up and move with you. That’s why your snacks should always be portable, like a mini dessert sampler you can store in a plastic baggie – or a pants pocket, perhaps. Don’t worry about dairy or eggs. These chocolate chip energy bites are free of refrigerated ingredients. They won’t spoil quickly or spoil your dinner. All you’ll need is one or two bites to suppress that stalker-like sweet tooth.

White Bowl with Chocolate Chip Protein Energy Balls #recipe | Vitacost.com/blog

Ingredients

3 scoops vanilla protein powder
2 cups quick-cooking oats
1/4 cup almond butter
1/4 cup honey
1 Tbsp. melted coconut oil
3 Tbsp. chia seeds
3 Tbsp. dark chocolate chips
Almond milk

Directions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together all ingredients until well combined.
  3. Add milk gradually. You only need enough to make the batter sticky for shaping.
  4. Roll batter into balls and place on prepared baking sheet. Place in freezer to set.
