Before getting started on this recipe, let’s clear a few things up. This lemonade does not include lemons, and yes, it’s creamy! Brazilian lemonade is actually a refreshing limeade traditionally sweetened with condensed milk and cane sugar. Whole limes and water are coarsely pulsed in a blender. The pulp and skin are strained before the tart liquid returns to the blender with condensed milk, sugar and a little ice. After a one-minute blend on high speed, the result is a dreamy summer beverage that blows lemonade out of the water! This vegan version uses sweetened condensed coconut milk, or you can try an oat milk variety.
