Banana fana fo fana…chocolate! Remember that song? It was easy being silly when you were young – expected even. But in adulthood, you still get the case of the goofballs. The next time you need a constructive outlet for those childish moments, try singing banana fana fo fana while eating banana-nut protein bars. This recipe comes with dark chocolate chips and crunchy walnuts in every bite, so you probably won’t get out one word – but you’ll have fun trying!

Banana-Nut & Chocolate Chip Protein Bars

Ingredients

1 cup almond flour
4 scoops NLA for Her Vanilla Cupcake Protein Powder (or protein of choice)
1 Tbsp. honey
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
3 ripe bananas
3 eggs
½ cup dark chocolate chips
½ cup walnuts, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9” x 13” baking dish with cooking spray or coconut oil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients through eggs. Stir until thick and well combined.
  3. Mix in chocolate chips and walnuts until fully incorporated.
  4. Pour batter into prepared baking dish and bake 30 minutes, or until golden and crisp on top.
