2 DIY Drinking Vinegar Recipes

Move over, kombucha. There’s a new beverage rocking the health world—and you probably already have its main ingredient in your pantry. Drinking vinegars have everyone bubbling, and now you can reap their many health benefits without shelling out a small fortune thanks to these simple DIY recipes. Instead of mixing vinegar with water, you’ll soak cranberries and cherries in apple cider vinegar, mix in a sweetener and pour over sparkling water. In the end, you get a tangy, fizzy and good-for-you drink that will literally tingle your taste buds.

Cranberry Drinking Vinegar

Ingredients

1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
¾ cup organic cane sugar
Fresh lime juice
Sparkling water

Directions

  1. In a glass jar, combine vinegar and cranberries and let sit covered on the counter overnight.
  2. The next day, add sugar and stir to dissolve.
  3. Strain cranberries out of vinegar.
  4. Cover jar and store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
  5. To serve, combine 1 oz. cranberry vinegar with 3 oz. sparkling water and a squeeze of lime.
